Hi, I am Maitreyi Joshi
I was born and brought up on the western coast of the Indian state of Maharashtra. That has definitely influenced my cooking. However, I did not restrict my cooking to cultural and geographical boundaries. I have integrated various elements of Punjabi, Mughlai, Goan, and Tamil cuisines into my food to curate my unique combinations.
About a decade ago, I moved to Europe to pursue my research career. I have lived in Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands. This is where I was introduced to international cuisine and, particularly, Mediterranean flavours entered my palate! You will see a lot of influences coming from Spanish, Turkish, and Greek traditions reflected in my cooking.
In my spare time, I work as a molecular biologist!
