Food for Thought:
Indian food, natural wine & conversations that make you think
“Food for Thought” is our initiative to explore ideas from science and technology to philosophy and linguistics through conversations with experts while enjoying delicious flavours.
Every edition brings a different theme to the table, along with multiple dishes, natural wines (or other drinks), and an atmosphere that encourages curiosity, lively discussion, and learning from each other.
No academic background or prior knowledge required. Just come with an open mind, enjoy Indian food, and immerse yourself in the conversation.
Well… thinking is even better with a satisfied belly and a drink in hand!
Why do some of us like to wake up early in the morning, while others enjoy staying up late?
In the first edition of “Food for Thought”, we will have an interactive session about a system that regulates the timing of events inside our body, termed the circadian clock.
We will be joined by Dr. Laura Kervezee, an assistant professor at Leiden University Medical Center. Laura studies the impact of the circadian timing system on human health and disease. She is on a mission to apply her knowledge of the circadian system to improve health care.
The session will start with a talk from Laura, followed by plenty of time for asking questions, expressing opinions, and free-flowing discussions.
Along with the science, you will be served a range of Indian dishes and curated wines (or non-alcoholic drinks). Of course, we will explore the backstory and flavors of each course as we love to do it here!
